Merdon Rakes It In…

Who would have thunk?  In the beginning I didn’t imagine that it would be possible for a Republican to sweep all the major endorsements.  I also thought Merdon would outraise Ken based on the extra four years on the council.  I didn’t count on Lou Ulman.  Whether it means anything remains to be seen.  In my mind it demonstrates Merdon’s appeal across a broad spectrum of the County residents and interests.

In the beginning, Republican Christopher J. Merdon ’s bid to become county executive looked as if it was facing tough odds in a predominantly Democratic county, with Republicans across the nation crouching defensively. Read the rest of this entry »

Howard County Register of Wills

This office is among the most respected of the Register of Wills offices in the State of Maryland because Kay Hartleb has made it that way.

Mr. Lawrence Blickman has stated that he wants to make it a more visible office and bring it out of the dark corners of the court house where it has been “tucked away”.  I don’t know if that is allegorical or literal.  The office is located just inside the security check point, and is well lit, very visible, and is well appointed.  It must be allegorical. The Smear Tactics Continue

I think that the following candidates should distance themselves from and make it clear they do not endorse the tactics of the Howard County Issues organization.  This organization is attacking the character and defaming two individuals who have served the community very well over that past eight years.

Kevin Zeese, Steve Wallis, Don Dunn and Donna Thewes, have all been endoresed by this “independent” organization.  Please tell the voters that you repudiate these tactics and do not support organizations that use unfounded allegations to assassinate the reputation of another..
