Merdon Proposes 311 Call Center

As reported in the Baltimore Sun

Based on reports from other jurisdictions that utilize a 311 system it appears as though this would do what Merdon suggests.  Improve and streamline communications between government and citizens, would be quickly accepted by residents, and improve public safety by off loading calls to 911 centers.

If you go to the web site at you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.  You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.  It is FREE and it only takes a second.
